  10. This is a little program  which I coded  in Blitz, originally I wanted
  11. a small  Arexx script which  either said Good Morning, Good Afternoon,
  12. or Goodnight when I  rebooted depending on  what the time  of day was.
  13. I tried  even this simple task in Arexx  but I found that  Arexx didnt
  14. seem to  handle it  very well. So I  thought I  would give  it a go in
  15. Blitz. And  here it is! It has some extra  features because I tried to
  16. get the most out of using BlitzBasic, they are :-
  17.  
  18. o Needs NO installation, drag into your WBstartup drawer and its done!
  19. o Says a different message every hour of the day when you reboot
  20. o Uses Blitz Say and not Commodore, this SHOULD be more realistic :)
  21. o Can be ran simply by double clicking
  22. o Makes rebooting more interesting!
  23. o Works on ALL versions of Workbench and Setpatch *
  24. o Works on ALL Amiga's *
  25. o No Special requirements *²

  27. *  This is TRUE in theory although it has only been tested on :-
  28.    Workbench 3.1 + Amiga International® SetPatch 97 running on my
  29.    A1200Tg 040/25/25/MMU + 18Meg RAM + 2xCD,520HD,

  32. *² Well actually there are very basic requirements, these are :-
  33.    A battery backed up clock (Most Accelerators have these)
  34.    The Translator.lib  (Included, simply copy to LIBS:)

  41.  11th July 1997 - v1.1 Won 'Software of the month' from Software of the Month
  42.                   club publishing!
  43.                 - v1.1 was reviewed in a Swedish Amiga Mag and got 3/5 stars!
  44.  22nd August 97 - v1.1b was released with a few minor changes suggested by
  45.                   AmiGreet users.

  50.  Hello there! Are you from a different country to England? If so I want you
  51.  to help me write a version of AmiGreet for your country. Ive already had
  52.  talks with a Swedish man who wants me to make a Swedish version and I want
  53.  people from all over the world to contact me and discuss a version for their
  54.  country. All you would have to do is supply me with 24 different messages
  55.  in your native language, 1 for each hour of the day ;) and Ill do the rest.
  56.  You will be fully creditted in the documents and a new version of AmiGreet
  57.  will be released! Et Voila ;) In particular I want to do Swedish, German,
  58.  French, Finnish and Dutch versions of AmiGreet because Ive met some nice
  59.  people from these  countries ;)
